This is my small part of the internet. It serves as a place to share my thoughts and (hopefully) helpful ideas, projects, and scripts.

I work as a Systems Engineer for a managed services provider. The road to this role has been somewhat varied, starting out in data entry after completing my Bachelor of Computer Science at Melbourne Uni. From here I quickly moved into web development and content management with the same business. During this time I began consulting for a small consulting business, rescuing a project that had been abandoned, half finished. This also gained me some extra work, and a slight shift into a supporting role in application development, developing an online backup application.

Gradually the amount of work began to dry up, and was eventually offered a position of Systems Administrator by a friend of mine based in Perth, for their Melbourne office. It was here that I developed a taste for the work, as it appealed to my personality type. From here I moved into a systems administrator/engineer role for a publicly listed Australian property developer. 

I have since moved to a managed services provider where I am based on a large infrastructure provider account. This has been a great shift for me, from working in a small team to a larger team. This allows for greater knowledge sharing and time to pursue my real interests- virtualisation and automation.
